The gold standard for the diagnosis of pelvic endometriosis is laparoscopy. MRI can be helpful in determining the extent of deep infiltrating endometriosis, especially, when laparoscopic inspection is limited by adhesions. In this article we will focus on the diagnosis and preoperative assessment of endometriosis using MR imaging.
